When custom development is needed

Custom development is useful when the buyer cannot find a current model, needs a new market reference, wants to match a local application, or needs backing plates, shims, hardware kits or tooling according to a sample.

Useful references: WVA, FMSI, OE, GDB and FDB

A WVA, FMSI, OE, GDB or FDB number can help identify the brake pad family and reduce communication time. If the reference is not enough, dimensions, photos and application notes should also be provided.

Backing plates and shims

For backing plates and brake shims, the buyer should confirm profile, hole position, ears, slots, thickness, surface requirement and whether the parts must match an existing brake pad production process. Fuxin Brake supports surface requirements when required.

Hardware kits and small components

For hardware kits, photos and a component list are often very helpful. Springs, clips, pins and guide plates should be checked together because a missing small part can affect kit usability.

Tooling and new model projects

For brake pad molds and backing plate dies, the buyer should provide expected production volume, cavity number, press information, sample parts or drawings. Tooling is project-based and should be discussed before mass production.
